1. In opposition to the previous kick, this strike is more efficient when done with the back leg. Bring the knee of your bent leg close to your body without breaking your pelvic line.
2. Extend your leg with an attempt to strike in depth rather than with height. The point of impact is the outside of the foot, and for this reason you must be careful to lift your toes to avoid hurting them when striking your opponent.
